Nora Gluck, LCSW, LMFT, RYT
Nora Gluck is a psychotherapist with thirty–five years experience with individuals, couples, families and groups. She has used a variety of modalities, including family systems family of origin, psychodynamic, object relations, short-term and more recently, energy psychology (EMDR, EFT, TFT, EFTA, TAT) and yoga therapy, which integrates the mind and body from a holistic perspective. |
Nora is a certified Amrit Yoga teacher and has practiced Kripalu yoga for over twenty years. Her work as a yoga therapist combines psychotherapy with ancient yogic practices designed to relax the body and calm the mind. These practices improve the mood, enhance self-esteem and self-acceptance and develop the witness consciousness through the practice of self-observation and non-judgmental awareness. She has studied interpersonal and transpersonal psychology for most of her adult life. She is trained in Life Force Yoga for Depression and Anxiety with Amy Weintraub..
Nora served as Assistant Professor of Social Work in Psychiatry at the Yale University School of Medicine where she taught, supervised and trained psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers in individual and marital and family therapy for over twenty years. She was also on the staff and faculty of the Center for Family Learning and the Family Institute of Westchester, and Adjunct Faculty in the Marriage and Family Therapy Program at the University of Bridgeport.
She teaches yoga at Yoga for Everybody, the Lakewood-Trumbull YMCA, and Trumbull Continuing Education program. She also teaches yoga for people with Multiple Sclerosis through the MS Society in Trumbull and in Westport. She offers psychotherapy, yoga therapy and private classes in Trumbull and in Westport. |
